Preschool
Our ProgramOur Preschool classroom promotes individuality, self-direction and self-esteem while allowing children to learn about being members of a group. Our Preschool teachers expand children's curiosity, enthusiasm, creativity, and abilities as they learn about the world around them.
Our facility consists of well-planned learning centers. Teachers plan a curriculum that is based on the children’s interests and provides hands-on activities both in and out of the classroom. Curriculum is inclusive of all appropriate developmental domains and aligned with Washington Early Achievers Guidelines for Preschool Learning Experiences. Circle time expands from singing songs and sharing books to include discussing ideas, stories, and experiences. In the preschool classrooms, children begin to develop friendships and make choices about the activities that interest them. The preschool daily schedule provides opportunities for free choice activities, outdoor play, gross motor activities, story and free play time. Our preschoolers participate in weekly music, creative movement, and art classes. The preschool classroom is designed to enhance social interaction through play. Children are guided with teacher directed activities as well as free choice play time helping to develop the key skills to academic success including learning to cooperate with others and to follow directions.
